Looking to shed some pounds? Share your best weight management tips!
Hi there, I hope you are well. Since, you are looking to shed some pounds, here's what you can do. 1) Calorie deficit- Calorie Deficit means eating fewer calories than what you burn on a daily basis. A calorie deficit of 500 is considered to be ideal, so if you are eating a 2000kcal diet, you need to burn 2500kcals on a daily basis to achieve the same. 2) Incorporating enough fibre and protein in the diet shall help as fibre helps in keeping you full for longer, so foods like wholegrains, fruits, vegetables, pulses, nuts, seeds can come handy. Protein on the other hand is required for balancing blood sugar levels, it can reduce cravings, provide a feeling of fullness, and nourish your body, overall. Beans, lean meat, dairy and dairy products, nuts, seeds, sprouts, lentils, are good options. - Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day. - Have omega 3 fatty acids in the diet, avocado, nuts, seeds, fatty fish for satiety. - Avoid packaged, ultra-processed, and refined foods. Take care✨

Discover the secret to reaching your weight goals and maintaining a healthy lifestyle with effective weight management strategies that will transform your body and enhance your overall well-being. How can effective weight management strategies transform your body and enhance your overall well-being, helping you reach your weight goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle? @Ratiyag
Hi there, I hope you are well. The most effective weight management strategy as a nutritionist would be consuming enough calories to nourish your body and at the same time exercising on a daily basis to burn calories, along with keeping a tab on your sleep routine, stress levels, and water intake. - Including more fibre, protein, and good fats in the diet. - Adding all food groups to the diet. Cereals, and pulses, milk and milk products, meat, and nuts and seeds. - Not following an extremely restrictive diet. - In short, it's not just about a diet it's about a lifestyle :)

I am a college student who struggles to manage both studies and household chores, making it difficult to maintain a proper diet. Due to the workload, there are times when I can't eat on time, and occasionally, I even skip meals.
Hi there, I hope you are well. Here's how you can consume your meals on time and ensure that you don't have to skip it. - Begin your day with a handful of nuts and seeds, and a power-packed breakfast. Your breakfast needs to be a combination of proteins, fibre, and good fats. - Have smaller meals rather than having just 3 meals a day. - Incorporate mid-meals, so that even if there's a delay in one meal you aren't hungry. You can opt for a fruit, Greek yogurt, makhanas, 2 dates/anjeer, a glass of buttermilk, roasted chana/peanuts, home-made protein bar, oats and dates laddoo , salad sticks or a protein salad. - Keep yourself hydrated, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water/day. - Incorporate protein at every meal, so that you remain full for longer. - Add fibre in the form of fruits, vegetables, wholegrains, nuts, and seeds. - Skipping meals can have a negative impact on your metabolism, hence, it is best to eat in smaller intervals, and avoid ultra-processed, packaged, and refined foods✨

Do you believe that medication is always necessary to alleviate cramps? I'm interested in hearing about your personal experiences and opinions on whether certain dietary adjustments or alternative remedies can help manage cramps effectively without relying solely on medication?
Hi there, I hope you are well. If I've to share my personal opinion as a nutritionist, and menstrual health advocate, I've never had medicines till date to alleviate cramps. Here's what you can do. 1) Incorporate enough fibre in your diet as it can help with better digestion and reduce digestion related issues during menstruation. 2) Protein is necessary for healing, and recovery, and it can reduce cravings, as well. 3) Drink herbal teas such as chamomile, spearmint, etc. 4) Avoid excessive caffeine intake or alcohol. 5) Drink more water during this phase. 6) Have a balanced meat with fruits, vegetables, beans, lean meat, eggs, dairy and dairy products, nuts, and seeds, green leafy vegetables, etc. 7) Opt for soups and lighter meals during this phase. 8) Sleep well, the more rest you take the better you will feel. 9) A heating pad is a hero. 10) Listen to calming music and ensure to do some physical activity, it really helps :) Take care ✨

I’ve been eating so much chocolate in the last 2 days, and the problem is that in the past, I lost some weight, and that made me so happy. Now, I’m scared that when I eat chocolate, I’m going to end up being fat. What do I do? #fitnessgoals
It's okay to enjoy chocolate, but moderation is key. Remember that occasional treats won't make you gain weight suddenly. Focus on a balanced diet and continue with healthy habits to maintain your well-being and happiness.

I received my training and education as a health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York. During my nutrition training, I was introduced to over 100 dietary theories from Eastern to Western, ancient to modern and everything in between to come to identify that the offered food on our plate is secondary to our relationships, career, financial challenges, spirituality, home cooking, physical movement, stress management and our self-care, all of which are aspects of life that we call primary foods. Balancing our primary foods is what fills our souls and satisfy our hunger for life. I am here not to provide a list of food restrictions nor to reside on calories count or proteins or fats or carbs but I’m here to start with you the journey of holistic wellness. I’m here to empower you to recognize the areas of imbalances on and off the plate in your lives. My mission is to guide you to a happier and healthier life that you can sustain as a lifestyle. Along the journey we will achieve goals that include;improving gut health by focusing on whole real foods, reducing comfort junk foods, treating sugar cravings, balancing blood sugar, maximizing sleep quality, energy and spirituality, applying stress management tools and maintaining relationships. more
