#HealthCheck When was the last time you checked in with your doctor? Do you make it a point to check in yearly?
Annual checks are really important. You may not always have a symptom or complaints. If we can detect a disease in the early stage the chance of complications are reduced to a great extent. "Prevention is better than Cure" .......and so Annual Check ups are a must 🙂🙂

#AskDocM Missed your period? Pregnancy test showing a positive result, but you are not ready? What do you do? A 24-year-old woman missed her periods by a week. She was worried, but not too much since she was using a condom during intercourse. However, when she took a pregnancy test if appeared to be positive. She was not ready to be pregnant. She and her partner had not discussed being married or starting a family. She was sure she didn't want to continue her pregnancy but was worried that it would not be easy to get an abortion. What would you recommend she does? What are her options at this stage?
A positive Pregnancy test...... whether to continue or not is a very personal decision...... and no one other than the couple can take it ...... As far as the methods to abort....there are two ways 1) Medical Abortion 2) Surgical Evacuation

Given my recent interest in optimizing my reproductive health, I've been curious about the impact of nutrition and dietary habits. For instance, I've heard that certain foods can play a significant role in supporting fertility and overall reproductive health. Could you elaborate on how specific nutrients and dietary choices influence fertility, and share practical tips on incorporating fertility-supportive foods into daily meals?
A healthy balanced diet is what you should have . No particular food in excess is of any help.

Hi @drkarishma_gynaec! Can you list the most important screening tests for women and the ages when they should get them.
Hi As far as Reproductive Health is concerned 2 most important screening tests would be 1- Pap Smear : All women at or above 35 yrs must get this test done as it a screening test for Cervical Cancer. 2. Mammography and Ultrasound Breast is a must at 40 yrs . It would be earlier if there is a family history of Breast or Ovarian Cancer. 3. Annual Pelvic Ultrasound for all women even if they are having regular periods from 40 years.

What are the various childbirth options available to women and which factors should I consider when deciding between a home birth, birthing center, or hospital delivery, given my desire for a safe and comfortable delivery process?
Hi Parinita I would suggest an institutional delivery as the safest option. The reason being whether it is a Vaginal Delivery or a C Section, the risk of bleeding is always there which can be easily tackled in a hospital set up with just a few medicines in most cases. As far as vaginal delivery is considered , there are a few things which might favor such as 1) If the head is Engaged in the Pelvis 2) The passage is adequate for the baby 3)Baby Weight is average not high 4) Location of the placenta , not low 5)Normal Water level

#AskDocM Are positive pregnancy tests always accurate? Share in the comments. A 23-year old woman told me that she is late by two days. She took a pregnancy test and it shows that she is pregnant? Are these tests accurate? She doesn't want to have a baby now. What can she do?
Sometimes the positive Pregnancy test can be false especially if it is a faint line . Rarely a positive test may indicate an Ovarian Tumor. So always consult your Gynac when in doubt.
