Well I’m assuming you’re concerned about protein for optimal lean muscle gain. It’s true lean meat is the easiest source of protein but it’s not true that vegetarians can’t get the right kind of protein from diet. Here is what you can add to your diet: 1. Spirulina and Chlorella supplements 2. Tofu and edamame are great source of protein 3. Paneer is good too but since it’s also high in fat, it works well if you go low carb 4. Legumes and dals are not lean protein but do have amino acids that will aid muscle synthesis, make sure to soak them overnight and cook with ginger. 5. Peas are a great source of protein too 6. Also can try hemp seeds If you’re open to start a protein supplement there are great vegan sourced options available now

I’m training for a marathon and want to optimize my nutrition for performance. What should my pre-race and post-race meals look like
Pre-race Eat a balanced meal rich in complex carbs, moderate in protein, and low in fat 2-3 hours before the race. Think oatmeal with fruit and nuts, or a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread. Post-race Aim for a combination of protein and carbs to aid in recovery. Options include a turkey wrap with veggies, a smoothie with protein powder and fruit, or grilled chicken with sweet potatoes and greens.
Na_Dia7d
Post-race meals are crucial for recovery and should include a mix of protein and carbohydrates to replenish glycogen stores and repair muscles. Good options are a protein smoothie with fruits, grilled salmon with quinoa and vegetables, or a turkey sandwich on whole grain bread. Hydration is also key, so don't forget to drink plenty of water.

what type of food should be avoided by a thyroid patient?
hina-8d
Thyroid patients should generally avoid foods high in iodine, such as seaweed and iodized salt, as well as soy-based products and certain cruciferous vegetables like kale and broccoli, as they can interfere with thyroid function. It's always best for them to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized dietary advice.
Hi there, I hope you are well. If you've been suffering from Hypothyroidism, then it is important for you to do the following things. 1) You can consume Cruciferous vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, kale etc. but in the cooked form only. Avoid having it as a salad. These vegetables can be eaten once in 3-4 days. - Reduce the consumption of soy and soy based products. - Avoid packaged, ultra processed, and refined foods. - Keep a tab on your sugar and salt intake. - Go slow on the consumption of peanuts as well. - Please feel free to get in touch with me for a one-one consultation as I can guide you better on the same :) Take care ✨

My mom keeps telling me about how important eating healthy is, and while I get it, sometimes I just want to indulge in some junk food or sweets with my friends. How do I explain this to her?
Na_Dia9d
Yea it happens. It's difficult to control your eating habits. You can do one thing, keep a day in a week when you can eat your favorite things and have good diet rest of days
Hi there, I hope you are well. Your mom is worried for you and your health and it's absolutely understandable ✨✨ Here's how you can explain it to her - - Sit her down and tell her how you are planning to eat healthy from Monday until Saturday. - Tell her that as per research and nutrition experts, indulgence is okay, once in a while, especially during any one meal of the day on Saturday or Sunday. - You can explain that you will eat healthy the whole day, and then, have a portion of favourite foods. - Promise her that you'll eat in portions and won't go overboard with the same. - It's a phase which shall pass and your mom will understand that you need to have your favourite food/foods once in a while. - Take it as a learning phase, because even my mom would instruct me and my siblings when we were in college. - Don't mind it, and just go with the flow :) I hope this helps, take care ✨

My work schedule is hectic, and I struggle to eat nutritious meals. What are some quick and healthy meal ideas for busy days?
Hi there, I hope you are well. Here's what you can do. - You can prepare the curry, sandwich or Frankie batter and place it in the or refrigerator for 3 days on an average. - Whenever you feel the need, you can remove this batter and prepare it. - It'll be quick and nutritious. - You can also prepare one pot meals such as dal khichdi, moong dal khichdi with veggies, an easy tawa pulav ( cut the veggies on a weekend and place it in a ziplock bag), curd rice, dal roti, buttermilk rasam and rice, sambar rice, easy veggie sandwich or egg sandwich, moong dal or besan oats chilla, chilla wrap, etc. - You can even marinate chicken/paneer/tofu and place it in the fridge, and whenever you need it, just remove it grill if and have it will a portion of sauteed veggies and rice. - You can even opt for daliya upma or oats upma with veggies. - You can have a dal soup along with the sandwich or wraps as suggested. I hope this helps, take care ✨
