I feel instead of advising,as a friend be there as a safe space for them so that they can share about themselves but dont advice anything since its not your decision your make, the best you can do is be their support system and let them know you are their for them whenever they need any help or non judgemental ear to listen to what they feel about this, but refrain from advising in such sensitive issues

Very sad to know about your loss. Your reaching out to ask about the grieving process is in itself a positive step. Grieving is a process and takes about 6 to 13 months depending upon the closeness shared. so positive grieving steps would be , thinking about the good times that you spent, thinking about the ways the person changed your life and maintaining that. sharing their strengths and stories with others close to them. keeping the good memories intact and preserving the relation.

Setting Boundaries.... different school of thoughts have different answers... one school which believes in inclusion, sayssetting Boundaries means drawing lines seperating which is not advisable. Other school feels setting Boundaries are important to get our own space. my experience... in professional life it's important to set boundaries so your colleagues are aware of the line that should not be crossed. in personal life with friends and close ones also at times it becomes important to draw boundaries to ensure you don't feel offended or intimidated... Initially people may not like it but later on they to will realise it's important to strengthen the relation and help it grow!

I used to be terrified of public speaking, even simple presentations in class sent my anxiety into overdrive. But I joined a local theater group, and with their support, I slowly started to find my voice. It wasn't easy, there were many moments I wanted to run and hide, but the feeling of accomplishment after each performance was incredible. Now, I can even share my story with others struggling with anxiety, and that's something I never thought I'd be able to do.
