So I usually track my periods on my calender in my phone so that it is easier for me to check whenever required. Whenever I feel different moods of mine such as being sad at everything,getting irritated etc ik that my periods are around the corner.

Yes, any women who is menstruating can use tampon. Only one should be cautious while using it. Unlike a pad, it is placed internally, inside of the vaginal canal. They are made of rayon, or a blend of rayon and cotton, along with synthetic fibers. Depending on your flow, it can be kept inside for 6-8 hrs. Once inserted correctly, a tampon is held in place by the vagina and expands as it soaks up menstrual blood. However, in addition to menstrual blood, the tampon also absorbs the vagina's natural lubrication and bacteria, which can change the normal pH, increasing the risk of infections. So always cautious about changing it time to time. You can use pad/tampon/menstrual cup as per your need. But while playing sports, during swimming it's better to use tampon/menstrual cup. Tampons also are easy to store in a purse or pocket. Another advantage to tampons is that they can't be felt because they're inside the body.

Alternatives can include period panties or cloth pads which can help prevent rashes and are also eco-friendly as they are reusable. During your periods opt for loose cotton underwear and change it twice a day to limit sweat and rashes. If this doesn't subside with these simple changes, check in with a doctor to understand a possible underlying cause.

Hi there, I hope you are well. The risk of osteoporosis increases due to drop in Estrogen. Tips to support bone health- - Include calcium rich foods to the diet. Dairy and dairy products, sesame seeds, green leafy vegetables, fortified foods, ragi, almonds, figs, chickpeas, black sesame seeds, etc. - Ensure to get enough Vitamin D because without it the calcium you eat won't get absorbed in the body. Get enough sunlight for at least 10-15mins daily. Include foods like lean meat ( fish, chicken), eggs, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, dairy products ( fortified with Vitamin D), etc. - For better bone health nutrients like Zinc, and magnesium are important as well. Nuts, seeds, dark chocolate ( once in 3-4 days), avocado, banana, leafy greens ,lean meat, beans, and dairy are good sources of the same. - Include weight training to improve bone density & strength. - Take supplements only if suggested by the doc. - Too much salt, caffeine, alcohol,soda, and red meat isn't great for bones. My best friend who is soon going to get married invited me to her Bachelorette Party. I got all excited as I have never been to a Bachelorette Party before. However she soon called me to tell that her parents and in-laws are not allowing her to throw a party. However her husband was allowed to throw one without even being questioned. We can also add 2 more components to this definition- sexual health and spiritual health! All of us should look after these 5 aspects of health throughout our lives! Specially women need to give special attention from Menarche to Menopause to protect their well being. Balanced diet, exercises, good habits & timely medical intervention are four pillars for good health. It is commonly seen that women neglect their diet. Most Indian women are prone to develop deficiencies of iron, calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B and proteins. Some women are obese while some are very thin and/or malnourished. Women look after their family members very well. But they neglect their own health. They require balanced diet including millets, legumes, sprouts, green leafy vegetables, fruits, milk etc. This ensures good health, glowing skin and hair.
