I'm reaching out because I'm feeling a bit worried about my feminine health. Lately, I've been experiencing some unusual vaginal discharge and discomfort. I'm not super familiar with STIs, so I was hoping to get some general information. What exactly are STIs? How common are they? I've been seeing some conflicting information online, and I'd really appreciate hearing from others who may have gone through something similar.
Anonymous1d
Some STIs, like syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and trichomoniasis, are curable, while others, such as hepatitis B, herpes simplex virus (HSV), HIV, and human papillomavirus (HPV), are incurable.
nanc1d
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are infections that can be transmitted through sexual contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral sex.

#HealthCheck When was the last time you checked in with your doctor? Do you make it a point to check in yearly?
hina-2d
No
Annual checks are really important. You may not always have a symptom or complaints. If we can detect a disease in the early stage the chance of complications are reduced to a great extent. "Prevention is better than Cure" .......and so Annual Check ups are a must 🙂🙂

@Relationshipcoachchitkala I got divorced recently after years of adjustments and compromised marriage. Emotionally, I was a straight-up mess trying to untangle all the grief, anger, relief, and self-doubt. Questioning my self-worth, feeling undesirable and unattractive. Not to mention starting to unpack some deeper traumas from the marriage itself. Having to rediscover my identity as just me, not "us", took a massive toll. What do you all think that changes in a woman's life after divorce?
Anonymous-7d
It is definitely difficult situation for women when they get divorced. They get to hear taunts from their relatives and society and in some cases by their family members as well. They are always blamed to cause the divorce even if it was husband's fault. It is difficult for them to marry or love again. Men don't want to marry divorced women. Women get affected psychologically.

Hey ladies, I am Riya, a 30 year old woman .I've been struggling with my self-esteem lately and it's really affecting my confidence. I struggled with this in my college life as well but i thought that with time i will overcome it however i am currently doing a corporate job and it is still affecting me.Any tips or advice on how to work on boosting my self-esteem and feeling more empowered in my own skin? @MindsetbyMeenal
Hi Confidence is a skill. We all have to grow and nuture. We should learn new things and improve our competency, confidence will go up To boost your self esteem You need to identify what are your unmet expectations from your self .? Are you if a habit of procastinating? because when you procastinate you break your own trust which effect s your self-esteem negatively. To boost your self esteem and confidence you need to be kind to yourself... in any given situation don't become critical and judgmental... Ask What did I do right in a situation and Not What did I do wrong. No one is perfect.. we are all work work in progress. Start thinking on these lines. Exercising, meditation and expressing gratitude ... these will help boost your self esteem and confidence Hope this helps else you can connect on DM or what's app 9869278747
sit with yourself about what do you actually feel about yourself, rate yourself in various areas of your life and check in with your strengths, weaknesses and areas you would like to work on, pick one area and allocate one specific task for each day that you wish to improve, also therapy and talking someone about your past trauma and triggers can help you to know yourself better

Are there specific considerations for sexual health and well-being after a hysterectomy or other gynecological surgeries?
Yes, definitely. First of all get recovered first. There should be no pain/swelling at that place. It takes 15-30 days to recover on average. Also tell yourself confidently that you still have a sexlife ahead. Most of the time, women themselves consider themselves that they won't be able to do anything now. A hysterectomy typically doesn't affect a woman's ability to have an orgasm or sensation in the vagina. However, some women may experience reduced sexual sensation, such as vaginal dryness and less intense orgasms. This is because the ovaries are removed during the procedure, which can affect sex drive due to hormonal changes. But you can still enjoy sex life without fear of pregnancy now. If dryness is there, use of lubrication, estrogen gelly application and treatment of mood swings can change it. You should take time for foreplay and try other forms of intimacy also.
Yes, there are. And you will often be guided after any procedure you undergo. Ideally your doctor will advice to abstain from sex for six weeks to two months, following which you will be checked again and given a green light by your doctor. Due to swelling, stitches, inflammation and rest for the surrounding structures to heal during gynecological procedures or even delivery abstinence is suggested. Even when you become sexually active again take it slow, see how you feel, you might have to communicate this with your partner as well so as to know what works for the both of you.

Hey, as a 20 something living on her own, i have realised that often times, in the whole rigmarole of trying to build a life and future for myself, I forget to take care of myself. With the excuse of being self sufficient, I isolate. I lean to vices more than people at times. doomscrolling, some music and a green friend is sometimes all i need to pass my evening. It’s easier to stay in my own comfort space then go out and live upto social obligations. the internet does a wonderful job at ensuring that. It’s easier to focus on work and ignore emotional connections that might come my because “i just don’t have the time for that in my life rn”. The purpose of the community is to provide a space, while still digital (ironically), that allows girlies like me to be open about the bad decisions they’re making. the red flags that they might call themselves. 🚩 A network where we recognise our flaws and simply sit with them. we acknowlege, we support, we empower. The first step to making change is understanding that change needs to be made. Let’s take that first step here ✨ What’re some bad decisions you’ve been making lately??

Currently it would be the course that I have chosen

Hey, I've been looking into supplements, and honestly, it's a bit confusing. I'm not sure about what would be the best options for me. Are there particular supplements that are generally recommended for women's health? Whether it's for overall well-being, energy, or specific women's health concerns, I'd love to hear you. @docmfrank
Anonymous11d
For women's health, consider a high-quality multivitamin containing essential vitamins and minerals, along with supplements like calcium and vitamin D for bone health, iron for preventing anemia, omega-3 fatty acids for heart and brain health, probiotics for gut health, folic acid for pregnancy, and magnesium for stress management. Consult a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement regimen to ensure it meets your individual needs and won't interact with any medications.
Hi Nadia, I hope you are well. Certain supplements are needed by women during different stages of life. During pregnancy, you need to supplement with iron, folic acid, Vitamin A, whereas post 35, you can begin with multivitamin supplements, and after 40-45yrs of age, you will need Calcium, vitamin D, omega 3 fatty acids supplements to support the growth of your bones, and to keep your metabolism going :) At the same time, it can keep your heart healthy, and improve bone function. Try to incorporate enough protein , fibre, and healthy fats in your diet, and take a multivitamin or any other supplement only if needed or suggested by your doctor. Self-supplementation should be avoided. Zinc, and Vitamin C supplements may also be recommended in case of weak immunity, and for skin health.

Anonymous-11d
Triphala is a commonly recommended Ayurvedic herb for gentle detoxification. It helps regulate digestion, cleanse the gastrointestinal tract, and support the liver. You can find it in powder or capsule form.
