As a working mom, I was constantly burnt out. I started practicing yoga and meditation as part of my Ayurvedic routine. It's been a game-changer! I feel calmer, more focused, and have more patience for myself and my family.

Investing in your lifestyle is the best thing which can enhance your daily health. Simple ways to do this is: - exercising for 30 minutes a day - 15 minutes of sunlight - 5-10 minutes of meditation/gratitude - cooking your meals at home - 30 minutes of self-care or me time daily - hydration - sleeping for 7 hours While the day can seem short for all the things you want to do, making time for yourself is important everyday for a healthier life.

Hi there, I hope you are well. Here's how you can change from a sedentary to a moderately active lifestyle. - Get up early, and go for a walk. You can walk for 25-30mins every morning. This way you will get enough sunlight as well. - In between your work, take short breaks and ensure to stretch or walk for 5-10mins. - Walk after your meals, 10-15 mins after lunch and dinner. - Even when you are at home, don't sit at the same place for more than 45mins, get up do a walk and, some Stretching. - You can do home-based workouts for 15-20mins and upscale as and when you are ready to do so. - Eat a balanced diet with enough fibre, protein, and fats. - Incorporate fruits and vegetables in your diet, and avoid packaged, processed, and refined foods. - Sleep for 7-8hrs hours daily and drink 8-10 glasses of water. - You can even do household chores as and when you get time, as it is a great way to bring in some movement ang burn calories. - Incorporate meditation and yoga to keep stress at bay ✨

Hi. Hope you are doing good! A sedentary lifestyle, especially as a working individual can have negative consequences. To beat this, form a proper, doable routine for yourself. Wake up and have some water. Go for a half an hour walk and come back. Take a shower and hop into the kitchen to prepare some healthy breakfast for yourself. Between your work, make sure you take 5-10 min out for short walks or stretches. Basically some form of movement is very important. Take your lunch on time In the evenings, you can take a work break and water plants, dust the furniture, etc. you can even go for a walk. Have your dinner on time and try to sleep early. If you incorporated exercise in your routine, you will probably fall asleep early. Make sure you read a few pages of some book before you sleep

What supplements are recommended for menopause?
You would generally need calcium and vitamin d supplements once you hit your 40s. As you grow older your calcium absorption decreases and it is very important to maintain certain calcium levels for your bone and muscle strength. Vitamin d is needed for better absorption of calcium as well as for good mood regulation. Apart from that most other supplements get prescribed based on deficiency.
Menopause means stopping of female hormones, especially Estrogen. Because it is necessary for your vagina as well as your overall health, you can take so many natural Medicines instead of taking just supplements. You may face vaginal dryness, mood swings/ emotional ups and downs and osteoporosis. Also hot flushes irritates most. Just supplements are not sufficient if these symptoms are irritating you. Then Take proper consultation with your doctor. Natural medicines are more useful in my opinion.

My husband' mother died last year . He has been depressed about it for so long. And now mother's day is coming, how can I help him to deal with it?
Anonymous12d
You can make him feel better by spending time with him such as showing his childhood photos or his mother's photo, do something that his mother always wanted to do or liked to do
Death of near and dear ones is really difficult to accept. Encourage him to recall the good time spent with his mother. Pamper him by cooking a dish his mother use to cook for him. Time has the power of healing. Don't worry he will be fine soon.

Hi, so my friend who saw blood yesterday but the periods didn't came. she at first thought it's her periods because she is about to have periods. is this a concern? her last time was 20 days late and it was longer than usual as well. What should she be doing?
Anonymous-13d
Unexpected bleeding, especially when it doesn't coincide with the expected menstrual cycle, can be a sign of a more serious issue, such as: Uterine fibroids Endometriosis.
nanc-13d
The fact that her last period was 20 days late and longer than usual suggests an irregularity that should be addressed.

Have recently read a crazy post that masturbating a lot can cause acne for women,is this true? XD
No, masturbation does not cause acne. Masturbation can cause hormonal changes, if you indulge in it badly. These changes are only tangentially related to acne development. It's more likely that if you seem to have less acne when you don't masturbate, it's just a coincidence because of the many changes that happen during puberty and adolescence. Instead of thinking like this, think about doing masturbation in moderation and let the sexual tension release. This keep your hormones tickling and can help maintain hormonal balance.
Hi! Hope you are doing well. As a therapist and intimacy coach, I can tell you that that’s absolutely false! Masturbation does not cause acne, that’s a myth. masturbation is actually beneficial as it helps improve sleep and reduce stress!

#PeriodTalk We all know from common knowledge that an ideal period lasts between 3-5 days. However, for some women periods can last for 7 days throughout their lives. This doesn't indicate that something is wrong. The ideal period length is the average you have for each period. A normal period day would be using 3-5 pads, or changing out your cup 3-4 times a day. More on the first couple of days when periods are usually heavier. If you have to use more than 5-7 pads during all days of your period and feel increasing fatigue it would be ideal to get it checked to ensure there is no cause for heavy bleeding and you don't have anemia as a result.

Are there any dietary supplements you recommend to support my menstrual health based on my individual needs?
Hey there! 🌸 Looking to boost your menstrual health? Consider adding these essentials to your routine: Iron for replenishing lost blood, Vitamin B6 to ease those pesky PMS symptoms, Magnesium for calming those cramps, Omega-3 fatty acids to soothe inflammation, and don't forget Calcium for bone health and mood stability. Your body will thank you for the extra support!
hina1d
There is no restriction for your diet during your menstrual cycle. Nor are there any foods that you necessarily should eat, except for foods high in iron. Because of the blood loss, there is also some iron loss w/menstruation. Therefore, foods high in iron content can help replace the iron stores that women need. These foods can include dark chocolate in small amounts, molasses, and then green leafy veggies such as spinach, beef, turkey, etc. You can google for a more comprehensive list. Otherwise, no special diet is required.

Is oral sex possible during periods?? My boyfriend wants to try it out
If you both are comfortable, then go for it! However, consider going for a dental dam as infection during menstruation is high! You can consider using a menstrual cup or a tampon to avoid leakage. Infact, for a lot of people, arousal during menstruation is high and period blood acts like a natural lubricant!
Anonymous0d
Just use oral dams for protection because the risk of developing infections is very high during menstruation 🩸

My mom never told me about tampons but I recently heard about it through my group of friends. I did not want to ask them because I didn’t want to feel backward. What are they?? Can women of all age use them ?
Yes, any women who is menstruating can use tampon. Only one should be cautious while using it. Unlike a pad, it is placed internally, inside of the vaginal canal. They are made of rayon, or a blend of rayon and cotton, along with synthetic fibers. Depending on your flow, it can be kept inside for 6-8 hrs. Once inserted correctly, a tampon is held in place by the vagina and expands as it soaks up menstrual blood. However, in addition to menstrual blood, the tampon also absorbs the vagina's natural lubrication and bacteria, which can change the normal pH, increasing the risk of infections. So always cautious about changing it time to time. You can use pad/tampon/menstrual cup as per your need. But while playing sports, during swimming it's better to use tampon/menstrual cup. Tampons also are easy to store in a purse or pocket. Another advantage to tampons is that they can't be felt because they're inside the body.
hina1d
A tampon is a menstrual product designed to absorb blood and vaginal secretions by insertion into the vagina during menstruation. Unlike a pad, it is placed internally, inside of the vaginal canal. Once inserted correctly, a tampon is held in place by the vagina and expands as it soaks up menstrual blood. Any girl of any age can who is menstruating can use them, there’s no one age where it suddenly becomes ok to use them or it’s not ok to use them.

How can nutrition play a role in addressing common women’s health concerns such as menstrual irregularities, PMS symptoms, or menopausal transitions?
Regulating menstrual cycles with iron-rich foods. Easing PMS symptoms through magnesium and vitamin B6.Managing menopausal symptoms with phytoestrogen-rich foods like soy.
Na_Dia2d
For menstrual irregularities and PMS symptoms, maintaining stable blood sugar levels by eating balanced meals with complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and lean proteins can help alleviate symptoms. Incorporating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, magnesium, and vitamin B6 may also be beneficial. During menopause, consuming foods rich in calcium and vitamin D helps maintain bone health. Phytoestrogen-rich foods like soy products can help alleviate hot flashes and other symptoms. Adequate intake of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains provides essential nutrients and supports overall health during this transitional phase. Additionally, staying hydrated and reducing caffeine and alcohol intake can help manage symptoms.

🗓 Menstrual Health

At its core, the connection between Ayurveda and Women health is rooted in the balance and harmony of the female body. The ancient Indian practice of Ayurveda recognizes that each woman has unique needs, and through mindful practices such as yoga, diet and lifestyle, it seeks to empower women to embrace their natural cycles.Ayurveda works to achieve balance by addressing the three doshas, or subtle energies that govern our bodies. These doshas are known as vata, pitta and kapha. Each dosha is associated with the elements of wind, fire, and water respectively and serve to regulate the physical body and the mind. When our doshas are in balance, we are healthy, vibrant and radiating peace. At a deeper level, Ayurveda looks at the physiological changes that happen in the body during our menstrual cycle. On a vata dosha day, for example, a woman may experience feelings of restlessness or anxiety. On a pitta day, she may have an increased appetite or feel irritable. And on a kapha day, she may be proneto fatigue or have difficulty concentrating. By acknowledging these nuances and adjusting her diet and lifestyle accordingly, a woman can learn to identify which foods will best nourish and restore her balance during the different phases of her cycle. Ayurveda Priests or holistic health practitioners are also available to guide women in developing a meaningful relationship with their menstrual cycle. Through such practices as yoga, meditation, massage, and breathwork, these professionals help women understand not only their body’s response to their monthly fluctuations, but also how to intuitively respond to them. Ultimately, Ayurveda provides a safe, holistic space for women to honour and celebrate their cycle as an important part of their emotional and physical wellbeing. By becoming more mindful and aware of the subtle changes that occur each month from one dosha to another, women are able to learn how to better nourish and care for their bodies .more
