Every curated highlight reel acts as a salt-in-the-wound reminder, even if you intellectually know it's not the full picture. Case Study: Michael, a client of mine, was determined to remain amicable with his ex. However, constantly seeing her happy travel photos triggered feelings of inadequacy and reignited old insecurities. We implemented a temporary social media "fast", and focused on redirecting that time towards activities that boosted his own self-esteem, leading to a faster, healthier recovery.
